I guess ‘Howard’ was always a funny man…

Different Space
There are always a few men and women,
Hunter S. Thompson to Leonardo,
That are in a different space,
For their measure in time.
The great ones, they leave us,
Often confused and off guard.
They are in another relationship,
That we may never find.
They inspire and delight us,
With their differences so opposed.
Then they dance in two step brilliance,
On the back stages of our mind.
Oh, yes, the off track intelligent beings,
Sweep sporadically through our lives.
May we dare to understand them,
As we go along so blind.

When we set for long green hours,
Contemplating life and dreams.
Seems a relative easy conclusion,
We should stop the lies and schemes.
We should hold ourselves in reverence,
We should be the light to shine.
We should be the dream awakening,
We should know, we’re all divine.

From the ghostly side of battle
Come the guns that fire, still on…
Killing all in terrors lime light.
Killing all until they’re gone.
Stand alone, my dear, sweet, soldier.
Stand with blood upon your hand.
Did your heart not know this horror?
Did you not see it, written in the sand?
Wash away the pain and suffering.
You don’t owe it any more.
You have served your task with honor.
You have done, what they sent you for.
Know the past is all a lesson.
Know that time will leave its scar.
Learn to let go, when it’s over.
Learn to go, only so far….

The whole point of transforming our heart and mind is to find happiness. We all have the natural desire to be happy and the wish to overcome suffering. This is a fact, so we can make it our starting point.
